Only if you have to.
Q: Why?
A: Because in our experience, most mortgage "disaster relief" becomes a nightmare.
Amerihope Alliance Legal Services has been helping homeowners stop or avoid foreclosure since the housing market crashed in 2008.
Our lawyers have helped homeowners after every major hurricane in the last 12 years. Our staff is well-versed in financial hardship, and we know how to help homeowners navigate the "options" and "promises" from their banks.
One recent example of other times lenders have failed homeowners in "mortgage relief" after a crisis is Hurricane Irma hitting Florida in 2017. The Hurricane forbearance caused many homeowners to be placed in a "foreclosure" status with their lender, costing thousands of dollars of fees to be applied to mortgages.
Mortgage forbearance is when your lender agrees to suspend your monthly payments for a specified term. The term is usually 3 months. At the end of the 3rd month, you are responsible for making all 3 payments plus the new month's payment.
Example:
April 1 - no payment
May 1 - no payment
June 1 - no payment
July 1 - Payment due = April + May + June + July
We are offering a service to contact your lender, explore your options, and help you understand the risks and consequences of any forbearance they are offering.
If they will not put the terms in writing, we will make recordings of the calls and be ready to prepare necessary affidavits when your lender breaks their promises to you.
In the coming weeks and months many "homeowner help companies" will spring up to take advantage of those who have suffered a hardship. Don't be disadvantaged. Amerihope Alliance Legal Services has been representing homeowners against mortgage companies since 2008. Give us a call to see how we can protect you.
